Alpha Phi Foundation

Alpha Phi's philanthropic focus is women's heart health. In 1956, Alpha Phi was one of the first women’s fraternities to establish a Foundation as a trust to award grants specifically for scholarship and cardiac aid. In 2010, the Alpha Phi Foundation completed a ten million dollar campaign for leadership, the largest in National Panhellenic Conference history. USC's chapter of Alpha Phi holds many events throughout the year including Phi Ball, Red Dress Gala, and Mac And Phis to fund research and educational programs that support the improvement of women’s heart health.

Today, the original priorities hold true in our five vital programs:

Events

Red Dress Gala

The Red Dress Gala is our biggest philanthropy of the year! Wearing red to signify heart health, members and families come together to raise money and awareness for women’s heart health. Alpha Phi members contribute basket items to be auctioned off at the event, and proceeds go to the Alpha Phi Foundation in support of women’s heart health. Our 2022 Red Dress Gala raised over $50,000!

Phi Ball

Phi Ball is a Spring philanthropy event held at the USC Greek Row. Alpha Phis bring the community together in support of women’s heart health and host a basketball tournament with USC Fraternities as they compete for the championship title!

Mac N Phis

Mac and Phis is a fall philanthropy event held at the Alpha Phi house. Guests buy a ticket for all-you-can-eat mac and cheese prepared by our own Chef Michael. All proceeds from tickets go to the Alpha Phi Foundation in support of women’s heart health!
